I came to this work through law, through loss, and through practice. A former lawyer and lobbyist, I found my way to mindfulness, and then to something deeper: the understanding that inner transformation and outer justice cannot be separated.
I am a Buddhist-Quaker Dharma teacher in the Plum Village tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh, an executive coach, facilitator, and author. My work centers on diverse leaders, Black women and women of color, and on the kind of leadership that is grounded in presence, equity and compassion.
The Earth Awareness Teacher Training has opened a new threshold for me: the recognition that the living world is not backdrop to our practice, but belongs at its very center. That tending a garden in New Hope, Pennsylvania, or looking up at the sky from a mesa, or grieving for what is being lost — these are not separate from the work. They are the work.
