Since 2010, a quiet conviction has been at the heart of everything Pioneers of Change does: that the changes our world most needs cannot be separated from the changes happening within the people who are working for them. You cannot sustainably transform a culture from the outside while remaining unchanged on the inside. This is not a new idea — but it is one that is easily forgotten in the urgency of action. Pioneers of Change keeps reminding us.
Based in Lower Austria and operating throughout the German-speaking world, this non-profit association has grown from a small learning programme for young changemakers into a community that has reached more than 100,000 people. Through online summits, year-long trainings, retreats, and courses, they accompany people at the intersection of inner development and active engagement in the world — in what they call the work of cultural transformation.
Their annual Online Summit — now in its tenth edition — brings together tens of thousands of people each spring for ten days of inspiration, encounter and deepening. Speakers, practices, and conversations that span the full spectrum of transformation: regenerative living, cooperative culture, leadership from the heart, new economies, connection to nature, and the courage it takes to find your own path.
What makes Pioneers of Change distinctive is not any single programme, but the insistence that personal growth and societal change are not two separate projects.
